RHA Dermal Filler

RHA Dermal Filler at Iowa Dental Arts

WHAT IS RHA?

rha dermal fillers restore volume and reduce the look of fine line. RHA is available at Iowa Dental Arts.FDA-approved to treat dynamic facial folds and wrinkles, RHA is a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler perfect for the forehead, cheeks, and eyebrows. Over time, dynamic wrinkles can form due to muscle contractions stretching the skin. This is often a result of facial expressions, including squinting, smiling, and frowning. Thankfully, RHA can help restore volume and reduce the appearance of unwanted lines in the face. At Iowa Face + Body Med Spa, our team utilizes advanced cosmetic injection techniques to ensure the best possible results for our West Des Moines, IA patients. IS RHA RIGHT FOR ME?

Typically, RHA cosmetic injections are optimal for the vast majority of patients. However, several considerations will ensure the desired results. Optimal candidates for RHA:

Should be in good general health

Should not smoke

Are at least 22 years old

Need to have realistic goals for the aesthetic enhancements

Be willing to follow aftercare and maintenance instructions for optimal results

HOW DOES RHA WORK?

Similar to other dermal fillers, RHA is injected with a small needle into the desired area of the face. However, RHA is more specifically designed to conform to the movements of your face in order to treat and prevent dynamic wrinkles.

There are various kinds of RHA injections — each meant to treat different types of wrinkles and folds. RHA is meant for mild cases, and RHA 2 and RHA 3 are injected into the mid-to-deep dermis as a way to target moderate to severe wrinkles. Additionally, RHA 4 is optimal for deep dermal injections to treat the most severe dynamic wrinkles and folds within the face.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER RHA?

Following RHA injections, you are able to return to your normal daily routine, but you should avoid strenuous activities, including exercise or heavy lifting, for at least 24 – 48 hours. Within the first few hours after your injections, you could notice some common side effects, such as slight bruising, redness, or inflammation of the treatment area. These should subside within the next few days as your results become noticeable.
